This is a set of stoneware planter bookends that can also be used as wall pockets. They are sgraffito carved and then glazed with high fire glazes. One of the book ends ( shown on the left side in the first and third picture) has a brown spot on the front design from the kiln, but it is just an aesthetic flaw and is still fully functional.
